Multimedia
The term multimedia is generally taken to cover the integrated use of multiple content, such as text, graphics, still images, video, animation, sound and interactivity, to inform or entertain an audience.
Typically, multimedia content is presented on a CD or DVD, which can be played on a computer. It’s worth considering instead of a brochure, because it’s easier to post, can be reproduced in any quantity, more or less on demand, can be much more cost-effective than printing, can be viewed by a number of people simultaneously, and has much greater impact than printed material.
Multimedia is also a good way to go beyond a brochure, perhaps to present material such as detailed product information, interviews, a factory tour or technical data.
